i think i have this sixth sense thing man. apparently, i have achieved thee almost impossible feat. well, you see, my hp caught some virus thing, and so it was out of use. i used my bro's hp that day, BUT unfortunately, just when i was about to contact my friend that i have reached, my bro's hp died on me. s

so you see, now i was stranded at marina sq, with no hp, no memory of my friend's no and yes, no way of contacting her. i walked around th place, hoping to catch a glimpse of her. and after 30mins of fruitless attempts, i headed to the information counter to ask th reception to call for her. HOWEVER, th place was too noisy due to this fashion parade thingy, and my friend didnt hear. so after another 20mins of waiting, i decided to search for her again. so, there i went searching and hoping, then i walked past a bookstore and a thought(or 6th sense) occurred to me, and i went inside the store. i was about to give up searching halfway thru the store but something told me to keep going, and alas!

there was my bfm, reading a book at the very end of the store.

pure luck? i think otherwise.

MY BDAY EVE.

as i turned 18 ( omgosh, so old! ): ) i spent the last day being 17 with the most awesome-est, funniest, loveliest, wonderful-est, sweet-est, craziest, etc, (EVERYTHING NICE YOU CAN THINK OF!) ladies.

we had tons of fun. intially planned to spent it at science center but it was closed on mondays ): ): ): so we found another really cool place. but by the time we shopped a lil at vivo and ate lunch and ATE THE YUMMY CAKESSSSSS. it was pretty late. and beeling had to meet MR CRAB and cheryl had a concert to go and hanizah had to collect her hp. so... we spent the rest of the time, laughing, talking, and simply cam-whoring. ahahaha.

what is love? i was watching this show called "ever after" and the prince asked a simple question-"what is love?" and he went on to say, "did God put two people on earth to find each other? what if they don't? or what if one of them got struck by a lightning and died? does that mean the other one finds yet another one and marry that one? or what if they do find each other, but how do you know if that person is really meant for you? or perhaps, the one is out there somewhere?"

i guess, it sort of got me thinking. we watch all these drama series and shows that speak or rather show about love. but then again? is love truly having the ability to let go? but, if you notice, drama series always say as long as i am by his side it doesnt matter. they talk about having the ability to let the other party go... but in actual fact, the two always end up together. is love all sweet talk and nothing else? do you always have to have that stomach fluttering, heart pacing feeling? how truly do you know that person you intend to live your life with will not change for the worst? how sure can you be that he/she is the one destined for you?

i guess, only time will show me. and when i figure this out, i might enlighten you then.

we are who we are because of who we want ourselves to be. no one chooses who we become unless we give our consent (relunctantly or not). as i travelled in australia, staring at the wonderful and amazing creation of God, i begin to think through 07 and the major issues that i dealt and am still dealing with. i counted my blessings living in singapore and this world of mine, and the lessons-harsh lessons i may add, and slowly i begin to realise that everytime i feel like giving up, or giving in, my God never fails me and is the person who hears me in the late nights and is the person who whisphers me on to never give up and continue to run this race. while, some may look at this and chuckle to themselves that my God is only a figment of my imagination, and others yet, think that this is absolute madness, i can only say, i believe in what i believe, and i know its real. so my dear friends (a few names are appearing in my mind. haha.) i can only say that when you think no one understands you, or no friend can comfort you, or that no one even cares about how you feel, i can only say that i know of a person who never ceases to be here for you. and though, we may fill our lives with activities and outings to serve as distractions to block out what's been bothering you, it will continue to haunt you till you deal with it. been there, done that, and i learn it after a long and harsh period that, the best and only way is deal it.

sat on the plane with (woots! the 7 families) went to an island called tangalooma where suntanning, snorkelling and eating became the way of life. fed dolphins and saw them rly rly rly up close. (we were freaking swimming when we saw a fin!) did the 4WD and parasailing. then i went to a forest and climbed these 2 rly high ladders to go 2 decks! there i was at th peak of the forest! i must say tho it was pretty scary cos the ladder was so steep and the deck could only hold 2-3 ppl. then went to movie world instead of dreamm world cos, when i asked jess what world i shld go, she replied movie world. aha. the kids were pretty insistent. lol. then i went on a shopping spree in brisbane. ha! with the babes and dudes. (: the grp then celebrated mommy's bday! it was the last night with the grp. i left for tasmania w ma family while the other 6 families headed home. lol. the place was freaking cold. haha. and we witnessed a cycling competition there. it was uber cool cos the whole town basically gathered there to cheer on their hommies. then went to cradle mt. i spent christmas eve and christmas up in th mountains. saw all the animals livin on cradle. a tasmania devil and a family of wallabes came right up to us! cool huh. then went to the other towns in tasmania. went to hobart. experience their carnival, taste of tasmania and their salamaca mkt. they had a yatch competition then too! (how perfect is God's timing!) and went for 'wild and rugged' cruise where i witness a pack of seals feeding on a sch of fish up close! (exactly like those in the doctumentary!) and our boat played with a grp of 5-7 dolphins!-they did the whole lot, jumping in the air, etc! i had another shopping spree in tasmania. flew back to brisbane where the holiday ended with tons and truckloads of shopping again. ha. dwayne was used like mad i must say. hahaha.

as i studied, my mind wandered along, and i realise how complicated is this world we live in. we are tied down by these things called emotions. one moment we can be singing and dancing to our favourite song, and at the next moment, we can be thinking of how suckish our lives are. call it mood swings or whatever technical terms you call it. but i beg to differ. i think why such 'mood swings' occur is because, we are going thru a phase in life. as we begin to comprehend how this world functions and how friends can be called enemies over night, we realised that it is the harsh reality of life. yet, it is these things called emotions that drives us to live our days. and may i add the word, sadly.

i suddenly feel like writing an emo post while i'm having the cip tutorial. dont ask me why, no, nothing to do with life, just one of my random thoughts i think of when i'm extremely bored.

you question yourself if you're rly who you think you are. you think once, and then twice and thrice. and then you realise you're just confused and puzzled even more than ever. you catch a glimpse of your old self. and yet realise that you're changing and turning into someone else bit by bit. and then you shut your eyes real hard and pinch yourself, in hopes that it isnt what you think it is. you try to tell someone how you feel, but you realise the more you try and struggle to tell, the more you cant. like a force pulling you away from everything and everyone. you question yourself why, you get frustrated with yourself even more and then you slowly become emotionless, regardless of whatever comes your way. people ask you why, you dont know how to answer, cos you're lost yourself and scared. slowly, you evaporate in this world and become more more visible in that world, this fantasy world of your own. that's the sad life, we never realise till its too late.

BUT before that, i shall attempt to relive the bimbotic-est moment at denise's house.
THERE WAS A FREAKING MOTH IN HER ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
/screams (a million, billion, zillion times in a very very HIGH pitched voice)
it flew and got stuck at a light at her ceiling near her door.
so we attempted to shoo it away, by off-ing all the lights.
I had to do a death crawl to the switch off her THAT Light on the Ceiling since it was so near that light!
and after doing that stoopid deathcrawl, guess what the moth just stayed there.
and we waited for like 3mins? before i plucked up my courage to JUMP towards the ceiling in an attempt to shoo it away.
BUT, noooooooooooooooooooo. it stayed there as still as a corpse.
so i clapped, to you know, make loud noises to scare that thing, but, sadly it still remained motionless. (oh ya, thanks for laughing at me HUH GIRLS)
then amanda on-ed the lights and just took a ball of paper and tried to aim at the moth but, sadly it was fruitless.
so we, denise, barbara, amanda and i started flicking balls of paper at it and travis (denise's dog) decided to join in th fun and he caught all our balls of paper and started tearing them apart. ._.
we would snatch and throw and, it lasted for like half an hour of fruitless attempts?
PLUS, we had tons and truckloads of high pitched screams, cos, everytime denise and barbara would hit the moth a tiny lil bit, they would start screaming, and in turn causing the 2 kids, olive and melissa to start screaming. HA.
BUT FINALLY, the amazing amanda DID IT. she whacked the moth and it landed on the floor. HAHA. AND I WAS RIGHTTTTTTT. THE MOTH WAS DEAD DEAD DEAD on the ceiling. HA!

i attended this year's Global Leadership Summit. And wow, did it speak to my heart.

I wish i could utter those few words to you, but then again, its impossible. it amazes me how ironical or stoopid life can turn situations around, and make you wonder, how did it ever turn out like that.

went church tdy. and, it spoke to my heart. just last week, i taught the kids in Sunday school and aunty judy prayed for them and gave them sweets when they memorised the bible verses. HAHA. it was really nice seeing all the kids come up to me and say "jie jie Jean, what does my sweet say to me?" and i would read to them and explain to them. After that, aunty judy also prayed for me and asked me to pick up the sweets and when i picked up those 2 different sweets, these were the verses on them

'The Shadow of the Wind' is a definitely, must read. i give it 5million stars out of 5. haha. Its awesome and it kept me up, reading past daybreak.

you know, as i was sitting in my mom's car and passing by some streets, i suddenly, thought.
it would be great if i could move out of here and live at some foreign country.
And considered the possibility of it.
But then i realised i was like somewhat a caged bird, or a trapped animal.
I'm stuck here with shackles, chaining me down to Singapore.
like a puppet, controlled by strings.
and if i were to break them, it seemed like i would become a roaming stranger-knowing the amount of pain that I would inflict upon myself and my loved ones.
No, its nothing to do with my family and friends.
I'm very very contented with them and i would never trade them for a million, billion, zillion sushi and chocolate treats.
Its just that, I want to be free, away from the woes and burdens that a society throws at you.
I want to climb the mountains, explore the unlimited oceans, dive through the wonderous skies.
And simply, enjoy running through the plains and twirling with the trees and flowers as my companions.
I want to run barefoot at sandy beaches and scream my lungs out.
I want to smile like an idiot, laugh like a fool and run like there's no tommorrow.
Maybe one day... when i'm old enough and self-sufficient i will fulfil them.
But till now, my dreams just have to wait.
